The Reason... is the eighth episode of the No.6 anime.
Synopsis[]
In order to save Safu, Sion and Nezumi head to the edges of the Western District. There, they meet a legless old man who leads a large group of people in a secret cave that is filled with water. The old man, the person who named Nezumi, turns out to be one of the researchers in the picture that Rikiga had with a younger Karan.
Yoming tells Karan about the plague that is spreading around No.6, and that anyone who has witnessed an attack by a parasite bee was taken away by the authorities and are never seen again.
Safu and Nezumi begin to hear the singing again, Nezumi falls to his knees in pain. It stops after a while and the man tells Nezumi to sing the song it to him. Nezumi repeats the song to the legless man and the water around them begins to glow. Sion demands that the legless man tells him the truth about No.6, and the legless man tells them about how No.6 became the way it is today. The legless man tells them about a being called Elyurias, a very powerful being. After being chased out of No.6, the legless man explains how No.6 was power hungry and destroyed the forest and killed many of the forest folk, in order to obtain the power of Elyurias, he also states that Nezumi is the last survivor of the forest folk who were wiped out by No. 6. Nezumi is confused because he has never meet Elyurias, but the legless man explains that the singing he hears in Elyurias and that she is calling him. The legless man gives Sion his research in order to help them find Safu. The man shows Sion that he was the real first survivor of the parasite bees.
Yoming explains to Karan about No.6, and begs that she joins his group to help take No.6 down, but she is unsure.
Back at their place, they find that Inukashi and Rikiga are there waiting for them, and Nezumi explains that he needs Inukashi and Rikiga to gather information about the correctional facility. But Rikiga thinks that he’s insane. But Nezumi says that in order to take No.6 down, they have to destroy the Correctional facility. Rikiga finally decides to help them.
Moonlit brings a note to Karan from Sion that says “Mom, Thank you. I’ll always love you”, And Karan Breaks into tears.
